Old vs New Wheels

New Bremer Krafter wheels from Tire Rack. Supposedly they are a Tire Rack house brand. Wheels are Fuzion HR1 225/45 R17 vs original 205/55 R16. The ride is definitely stiffer/harsher, but also quicker and tighter. I hear rattles I never heard before, and some more road noise too. I might try to black out the stainless circle around the outer rim.

One of the non lethal bad things that can happen when the shitty jack systems fails. It was original pressed up against the frame, then under pressue it slide outward, and jammed up into the vinyl underskin. I did this 2x, just to make sure the first time it wasn't because I'd set it up wrong. Unbelievable.

The originals.

Scratch that previous post. I AM Nostalgia! Fuck me, Baby!

My 27 year old Filipina girlfriend took this picture tonight. She said, "when did you get this?" I laughed, said, "it's printed right on the front." And she was like, "Yeah, but when did......then this shirt is older than me!"
That was November 12 & 13, 1981. Before I was ready for sleeping in Penn Station. I still needed Wayne as an escort back then.

And BTW, those are Digital TV rabbit ears - no more analog for me! But yeah, that is a used 32" CRT I bought on Ebay a few years ago. Finally moved up from the 20"!
And I just bought a Walkman tape player the other day - supposedly Sony just stopped making them in Japan - still making them in China the say.
My move - coming across old tapes in the process - hearing this Sony news - and that Apple - the Ipod company maybe buying the Walkman company - and the fact that I've got both an Aux and USB jack on my deck in the car inspired me.
Just listened to a bit of a 97' tape college radio edit tape - made me a little teary. You can capture some really cool stuff if you ignore the rest of the world.

You know you're old when they sell nostalgic shirts of concerts you went to in college hipster shops.

Actually, the first Dead show I went to was in Syracuse in September, 1983. But for my money that's close enough.
