Pelourinho - UNESCO World Heritage Site
Four Pics below are all from the sketchy neighborhood surrounding the Pelourinho.
Pics below are of the seemingly abandoned, or perhaps not 1950s - 1970s era office and apartment buildings, as viewed from the Lacerada in the Pelourinho.

From my room in the hostel in Pelourinho.
All the nice beach pics below are of Morro de Sao Paulo - beautiful resort just south of Salvador.
The three pics below are from a restaurant in a "locals" neighborhood on Morro de Sao Paulo.
Brazilians - locals and tourists on Morro de Sao Paulo - the 4 pics below.
Three pics below are of my Pousada (hotel) on Barra Grande, which is about 3 hours south of Salvador.
The next 11 beachy pics below were taken on a motorbike ride I took around Barra Grande.
Camamu - next two pics below - the port town you stop in on your way in and out of Barra Grande. B.G. is a 40 minute speed boat ride from Camamu.
Mc A1, the not very psuedo McDonald's run by a very cool retired Swiss guy who used to be a construction worker working on big building projects in places like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Czech, Saudi Arabia. The beginning of the best night of the trip was spent talking to this guy. Later I moved on to the Favela Reggae Bar...
Street scene on the main tourist street, I think, in Itacare, my favorite spot in Brazil.
Two pics below are of Praia Concha, very close to the main street in Itacare.
